About me

The Beginning My fitness journey began my junior year of high school. I started working out with friends from school at various gyms like Crunch and In-Shape, and even in each other's garages. This was during the peak of the David Laid, Zyzz, and Phonk lifting era, which inspired many of us to strive for a killer physique. When I began, I had a 'skinny-fat' build and knew very little about effective training. I mostly followed advice from anyone who seemed knowledgeable at the time.

Early Progress - Here's a picture from about a year later, likely taken shortly after high school. By this time, I had figured out the general basics of muscle building and had gained a decent amount of size naturally through consistent effort. ->

Learning Through Trial and Error: Most of what I learned came from personal experience, which often involved making mistakes. Sometimes I'd end up gaining too much fat during a bulk, like in the example here or I'd cut too aggressively and lose hard-earned muscle. These outcomes slow down overall progress and essentially waste time, which is exactly what you want to avoid.

Best Bulk: This is my best bulk, I finally figured out how to effectively gain size and mitigate fat gain. Here I was significantly bigger and stronger than I had ever been.

Looking Ahead (Guide Context) This picture shows my current physique during my best cut so far. I've managed to maintain the muscle I've built more effectively by the end of this phase, I'll be considerably leaner than before. You can notice significantly more definition compared to my earlier stages. As I mentioned, navigating bulking and cutting effectively took trial and error. In the cutting and bulking sections of this guide, I will share strategies aimed at minimizing excessive fat gain or muscle loss, helping you optimize your own progress and avoid wasting time.
